The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
