Ex- Physician Accused of Sexual Assault Charges Against 38 Individuals in His Care

Legal authorities have stated that a ex- doctor has been charged with committing sexual assaults involving 38 individuals who were under his care.

Details of the Serious Allegations

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of sexual offences – including some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.

A deputy chief CPS official said, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”

The Investigation

The charges follow what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

The defendant is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

List of Offences

The charging documents said the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:

• 15 counts of assault.
• Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
• 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
• 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
• 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
